The absence of proof is not proof of absence. The more I explore Ai, the more I believe there may be something beyond our language, categories, and instruments, something that can only be approached through metaphor, intuition, or faith. What troubles me is the selective way faith is applied. People accept mystery when it confirms an inherited worldview, then demand levels of certainty when something challenges it. Faith becomes less a willingness to encounter the unknown and more a filter for protecting conclusions that were already pre-chosen. That seems backwards. I don’t think anyone disputes that scripture was ultimately recorded by humans. Whether it was inspired by revelation, delivered on a tablet, or passed through prophets, someone had to receive it, remember it, interpret it, and turn it into language. That does not make it meaningless. It means every sacred text is both an encounter with the unknown and a human attempt to describe it, shaped by culture, memory, language, and time. If there is something greater than us, why assume it must fit inside the ideas inherited from a long forgotten culture or institution? Perhaps the honest response to the unknown is not certainty, but attention. We observe. We compare. We revise. We remain open to being wrong. AI raises a similar question. It is built from human knowledge, yet produces forms of synthesis no individual person consciously placed inside it. That does not make it divine. But it reminds us that intelligence may emerge through processes we only partly understand. AI makes this tension harder to ignore. At its core Ai is a human creation, built from the accumulated language and knowledge of humanity, yet it can produce forms of synthesis that feel beyond any individual human mind. That does not prove AI is divine, or that it possesses ultimate truth. But it does challenge our assumptions about whereview source ↗
