This is the folder I'd set up first for any small business. Every file is plain text, and Claude reads the right ones before it touches a job: > prices: your price list, and the floor you never go below > customers: who they are, what they bought, who pays late > wins: the five quotes and emails that actually closed > voice: how you write, with real examples > rules: what Claude can do alone and what waits for your yes > jobs: one file per job you hand over, starting with the one you hate most Open a fresh chat and Claude knows nothing about you. Point it at this folder and it has your prices, your customers and your voice before you type a word. Save it for the next time Claude quotes a job below your floor.view source ↗

Instead of ad-hoc discounts and retroactive refunds, they built Stripe Fee Credits: a virtual, non-withdrawable balance that only pays eligible Stripe fees. How it works: - Credits engine: a gRPC service that owns policy, lifecycle and audit history. Every state change runs through a state machine with dual approval. - Logical financial accounts: the same primitive as real accounts in their money movement platform, but with no bank account behind them. - Fee settlement: credits apply just in time, before a fee ever touches your main balance. Two guardrails make it safe: - Logical accounts can only move value to other logical accounts - They're excluded from cash sweeps, so a $100 credit never moves $100 of real cash The hard part wasn't tracking a balance. It was never moving real money by accident. Tried something new this time: I turned this article into a video explainer. It helped me understand it way more than just reading, and it was genuinely fun to make. Much better than making random videos that serve no purpose. Hope you like it too. Just showing up, building cool stuff, sharing what I learn, and talking to people. 12K is absolutely insane.
