I'm lucky to sit next to my speedy colleague @t2govind at work, who is consistently running a few steps ahead of me in this unusual era. Whenever I already know something Govind tells me, I let out a loud 😮💨 "phew." And once in a blue moon I'm ahead of Govind… and I get a fleeting 😎 fist-pump moment that I relish for a few microseconds. If there's one thing I've learned in life, it's that there are people who are fast at change, and then there's everybody else. When everyone's comfortable with the existing direction, people don't want to change. When a direction does change, it has to meet three requirements to get organizationally metabolized: 1/ Be familiar to our culture — ideally invented by "one of us," so it doesn't contain any enemy booby traps we might not know about. 2/ Be known to have succeeded 99 times out of 100 — ideally 100 out of 100, so we don't end up being the 1-in-100 failure. 3/ Cost nothing and require almost no effort — not everyone has to participate, and it gets charged to a new cost center, not mine. I've found that when these three aren't met, folks start drifting back to the way things were, because that's what appears safer. Why? Because their existing recipe for success worked so well in the past. Why break what's already working? So change can be immediate for a person. It's never immediate for an organization. When I was younger I could be just like Govind. But in the later chapters of my career, I've come to see fast changers' impatience as a virtue, one I now balance against the puzzle of how to unlock change in everyone else. Granted, I personally jumped into the Jevolution last week with every other "only the paranoid survive" nerd who instinctively reacts to the latest craze. But it's important to pace oneself. Although the Cozy AI Kitchen https://t.co/9Y8TALIF7y is closed, I'm carrying on its tradition of a cozy attitude as a way to handle all the ch-ch-changeview source ↗

Not one of those 5 has a single strand of grey on their body or any material reason to be unhappy with their work or how much more or less money they make compared to the rest. • twitter 1d neutralHoje passei o dia angustiada. A violência, a intolerância e a polarização nos dão medo. Mas não há como silenciar. Não falo de um lugar alienado. A relationship doesn't stay strong just because two people love each other. It survives because both people keep putting in the small efforts every single day. And the way Vijay said Rashmika reminds him to say "I love you" and never stop doing the little things... that's probably why their bond feels so genuine. Sometimes it's really the small things that keep a relationship alive.view source ↗

Yes, this is real. I had the privilege of witnessing this extraordinary scale of celebration, warmth and achievement at KIIT and KISS, Bhubaneswar. My heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Achyuta Samanta and his entire team for building institutions that go far beyond education — transforming lives, creating opportunities and shaping the future of thousands of young people. One vision. Thousands of dreams. Generations transformed. A truly inspiring testament to how one person’s determination and commitment can create a lasting impact on society. 🙏 @nkishoreyadav @chitraaumview source ↗
